Aldo's policy platform continues to grow. Here are the most recent additions and updates to the campaign priorities.
Making offenders clean up graffiti rather than the property owners who are its victims, backing owners with a Council removal service, and targeting hooning through better CCTV coverage and stronger partnerships with Tasmania Police, Crime Stoppers, and Neighbourhood Watch.
Building on the Tasmania Devils AFL High Performance Centre and JackJumpers presence to attract medical, orthopaedic, and allied health businesses, and developing a Sport and Recreation Infrastructure Plan for the whole municipality.
The complete priorities document has been updated to v12, rewritten after reading around 600 comments from the July series. The graffiti by-law is withdrawn, the Bruny levy exemptions are written down, and residents’ own hooning hotspots and infrastructure register are published in full. Election 2026
The Kingborough Council election takes place in October 2026. Voting in Tasmanian local government elections is compulsory for all enrolled residents. The election is conducted entirely by postal vote over a 21-day period — your ballot paper will arrive in the mail and must be returned before the closing date.
