  • Your ballot pack arrives by mail from 5 October. Follow the instructions inside, seal it, and post it back straight away so it arrives before 2pm on 27 October.
  • Away from your enrolled address during October? Ask the Tasmanian Electoral Commission for a supplementary postal ballot pack.
  • Interstate, overseas, or unable to use a printed ballot? Telephone assisted voting will be available through the TEC.
  • Own property in Kingborough but live elsewhere? You may apply to Council's General Manager to be enrolled for this election.

What Kingborough is electing

Kingborough elects one Mayor, one Deputy Mayor and nine Councillors in 2026. The Mayor and Deputy Mayor are elected directly by the voters, not chosen by the councillors afterwards. The number of councillors is set by the Local Government Act 1993 as amended.

Who is running

The full list of candidates is published by the Tasmanian Electoral Commission once nominations close at 12 noon on Monday 21 September. Aldo Antolli, a serving Kingborough Councillor, is standing for Mayor. See the TEC's candidate information for the official list as it is released.

What Aldo stands for

Fourteen priorities, each on its own page with the evidence behind it and the commitment Aldo has made. His councillor record and his speech against this year's budget show how he has voted so far.
